I play that solo as well!

And what makes me really happy is that exept for one little lick I'm using the same fingerings as you...the Master.

    I feel good now.:roll

Great! You enjoy playing that solo too!

Nice dynamics on part 2, Tomo. I learned solo #1 last year, maybe I should learn solo #2 this year.

    Thanks for posting.

    Dave,

Thank you for your kind words! Great! You got solo#1. I posted solo #1 too. Great way to learn Larry's triad approach.

Enjoy learning solo #2. It's simple chnages.. but Larry played tasty bend and vibrato.. I am still working on this. I try to pull off like this... anytime... day or night!.., from any transcripitons that I have done before...

    Nice job, thanks for posting.

I learned it back in the day, I should dust it off.

Every gtrist I've seen cover that song plays the Carlton solo.

Gtrists seem to agree that solo ranks as one of the best. Kudos to Mr 335.

That solo should be required learning for anyone playing R&B or Fusion.

    Nicely done, Tomo!

Very cool, Tomo. I learned that a long time ago and could never get the feel right- the difference between a real player and a hack like me.

    Hi Steve,

Thank you so much! I really worked on my soft vibrato. I am still working on this. Carlton is a master of this taste.

I am doing well. I am getting ready for NAMM show this week!!!

Hope all is well with you and your family.

    Hi Edward,

Thanks for watching! Thank you very much!

This solo was one of "must know well" solos. Larry's tasteful bend...I love it.

You're welcome! I will have fun at NAMM.
