I have a Gibson 50th Anniversary Commemorative Flying V guitar. It has Steinberger tuners on it from the factory. I restrung it using the instructions, and It won't stay in tune after string bends. It's not a minor adjustment either..The whole guitar goes out of tune after a song or 2. Where did I go wrong?..Should I double the string thru the hole maybe? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I called Stew-Mac, and the guy there said the same thing. He said they recommend taking a small adjustable wrench and wrapping the jaws in tape and use the wrench to give it a good tightening. IMO, the standard tuners worked just fine for years. Why would anyone wanna change is beyond me!
