Steve just got his new Modern. And here it is. The neck on this guitar is the 400 year old river-recovered Maple. Aldrich pickups. It's the start of the Billy Idol tour for Stevens and his new guitar. More detailed pics here:

Due to demand for the drips, the guys have been working on getting the finishes
thinner. Looks like they nailed it.

That one looks cool! Glad they're doing drips (again, didn't they stop for a while?). This new model is probably the only 24 fret guitar I'd be interested in checking out. Hope to get to play one soon.

I love the shape of the new modern!

That slight bump in the bottom half of the guitar makes it undeniably sexy! ;)

Well, you know Steve will rock that thing. Truly one of the most bad-ass rock guitarists out there right now. His new CD, Memory Crash, is just brilliant.

I wonder if the Aldrich pickups will work for him or if he will put his set of Rebel Yell's in there?

The interesting part is waiting for mine, while watching these early ones start to trickle out. I'm cool, it'll be worth the wait. :JAM

    That looks amazing:phones:phones
I wonder why he doesn't have his BKP signature pickups in it?

Because the Aldrich pickups simply blow everything else away right now. I just got them installed in my Les Paul and they kill all my other guitars (Tyler, Petrucci BFR). WIll be putting a bridge into my new custom strat. Just about the most versatile pickups I've ever played.

Looking at closeups of the pictures, it appears to be a quartersawn maple neck. That will be one punchy guitar! I have a custom Suhr with an old growth quartersawn maple neck and it is a sonically bold guitar. Notes leap out of it with authority.

Hey Doug, Thanks for the heads up!
    Very cool looking Suhr indeed.
It was great hanging and seeing you at La Ve' Lee
with Beak, Ron and Felix playing with Garfield.

Way cool...... Reminds me a little of the Tyler Elite body shape (which I love) without the stupid pickgard. Whats the price tag on these?
