what is it?
What is stoner rock?
Did I put the apostrophe in the correct place in the title?
I don't know greatest album ever but check out NY's White Hills, we at KFJC play their records quite a lot.
Black Sabbath vol.4
Yup Vol 4.
For something new I really like The Black Angels:
I'll keep it clean and just show the back of the album.
Yep. The greatest.
A little sample from back in the day...
Black Sabbath's Paranoid needs to be near the top of the list.
According to Wikipedia stoner rock or stoner metal is a rock genre that combines elements of heavy metal and/or doom metal with psychedelic rock and acid rock.
A few notable stoner rock bands are Black Sabbath, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, and Clutch.

Oh yeah, that's a good one.
It's simply just not possible to play "Grendel, Snowman" too loud.
Going back to the roots.
I haven’t touched weed in many years, but if I were to, I would listen to Hanatarash 3.
Clutch's Blast Tyrant is a classic.
hows about kyuss, blues for the red sun?
I think a case could be made for the first 4 Black Sabbath albums being the blueprint for Stoner/Doom rock.
I really dig a lot of the new(er) Stoner-type bands that are from the old Sabbath mold.
Oh, I thought this would be about albums that were excellent when you were stoned.
As you were.
Black Sabbath -Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol. 4
Kyuss- Blues for the Red Sun, Sky Valley, and the Circus Leaves Town
Take your pick.
Can't argue with Volume 4 or Blast Tyrant. I would add Corrosion of Conformity - Wiseblood, Deliverance and America's Volume Dealer. Take your pick.
