our bass player's other band that he's in (Anthrophobia) actually opened for T.A.B.W. at a show in Lancaster,PA back on Aug.31st... he said they were amazing...

I saw 'em live about 15 years ago, when they played a show with the Moistboyz (Dean Ween's other band), and they f*ckin' rocked.

Not the single greatest but then I feel like this has morphed in to 'check this cool **** out" anyway. Just found these guys....

QotSA changed a ton over there years. I dig all of it, but the early stuff is definitely more stoner rock.

There’s a two-song span on Lullabies (Someone’s in the Wolf and The Blood is Love) that is freaking amazing (although doesn’t feel like stoner rock to me). The tunes seem to go together and feel like cheesy horror stuff.

    Great site.

FWIW, that's my band at #25.

Glad you dig it! We're gearing up to record another LP starting this month.

Electric Wizard's latest video got pulled from Youtube - too many exposed breasts, I'm guessing. It was somewhere between a Rob Zombie movie and Skinemax in terms of blood and nudity.

I don't think I could pick a single greatest, but if I was forced to it would probably be one of the early Sabbath albums, probably Paranoid. They did kind of start the whole sound. After that I would include QOTSA as another important band.

If we are going with seminal albums then I would add these:

    Another pioneering desert/stoner rock album:

    Some good stuff here.

Anyone who hasn't heard them should check out Wo Fat.

This is also one of my faves.

    One of OGs best IMO

Maybe not the greatest of all time (Sabbath) but honorable mention worthy:

Perhaps not Stoner Rock so much as Doom, but worth a mention here:

Their Fear No Pain album is also masterpiece of doom; this one has a bit more groove.
