I'm looking at getting a Boden OS7 with the EndurNeck profile, but I'm a newbie to ergonomic and headless designs.

For those who have played strandbergs, which ergonomic guitars do you like better and why?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

You're going to have a lot better luck with responses at sevenstring.org

But you could try sending a private message to stealthtastic. He's really into that scene.

I haven't played them, but you could look into the Carvin Vader guitars.

Definitely ask this over at sevenstring.org, if you haven't already.

I'd suggest taking a look at XEN Instruments.

Watson guitars makes full custom headless guitars and basses.

Anything else you are probably looking at a full custom build.

Since the .strandberg has a rather unique set of features (multiscale, headless, Endurneck, possible chambering) you'll be hard pressed to find those exact features in anything other than a custom build. I do believe the Endurneck can be used by builders if the license is purchased or somesuch arrangement (def don't quote me on that ). But yeah I'd loooovvve to get myself a Boden 8 one of these days, but I'd be way more than happy with a Vader 8.

Thanks for the tips. I'm not a member at sevenstring.org, but maybe this will get me to join.

I'm not married to the strandberg, but more curious about what you headless enthusiasts who have tried it liked better.

There's quite a few threads about the Boden OS over there at ss.org so you'll probably find lots of good info (and drool worthy pics). It def seems like a really great guitar; especially considering the price. Hopefully a 8 string version will happen eventually.

If you are in the market for such a guitar, keep an eye on the FB guitar selling group that Stealthtastic admins, lots of headlesses and ergs turn up there all the time.

I hope they decide to offer pickup options for the OS7 other than those EMGs. Same with the OS8 if ever released. The OS6 oddly enough appears to have non-EMGs (Lace Alumitones).

I like the Boden OS 7 but I think they're asking too much for a MIK guitar.

Gene Baker's making the nicest looking ergo with the Ringmaster at the moment. For my money, in my opinion, your mileage yada yada etc etc
