Strat neck carves

Hey everybody. I have a Fender Classic 60s Strat, and love the neck carve, but I'm not crazy about the rosewood fretboard. I owned a MIJ '62 RI Fotoflame 6-7 years ago that had the same (or very similar) neck carve.

The Fender site just calls it a C-shape, but is it a carve thats specific to the 60s style Strats? I would love to track down a Strat with the same neck carve, but with a maple fretboard, with the same glossy poly finish (as opposed to the more matte finish Fender puts on the standard Strats).

It seems the 50s style strats have more of a V-carve, and most of the standard and deluxe series are a shallower modern C-type carve. I'm after the thicker C-shape, its way more comfortable for me and sits more naturally in my hand.

Oh, and a truss adjustment at the headstock would be icing on the cake.

Anyone know of a Strat model that fits this description?

My classic 70's is pretty much that what you are describing. They call it a U but it feels almost identical to my 52RI Tele which I think they call a C.

Though I changed up the rest of the guitar a bit...

That's an awesome looking guitar! I'll have to track one down and see if it fits the bill. Does the 70s model stay true to the 3-bolt neck joint? Do you find that's an issue?

I have 4 strats, and have sold another 3-4 over the past couple of years. My main guitar for ages has been a Lake Placid Blue Classic 60's strat with Kinmans. Out of all the strats (even another Classic 60's briefly) none of them have the same neck shape. The Classic 50's is the closest actually, but the RW, the Classic Player and the MIJ's were not quite the same.

The MIJ had the best neck of them all, but I didn't enjoy the tone of the basswood body. My next favourite is the Classic 60's - beautiful neck.

I have a classic 60s and love it. I also have a Fender EJ maple that I think comes close to what you want, with a maple fretboard. The EJ neck has nitro finish while the 60s have poly finish. Also same radius.
