You'll probably get what you pay for... Some POS crappy neck.

I'm sure that some 12 year old kid over in China worked very hard to make that neck.

Well, what kind of Strat are we talking about? If it's an American Standard or something similar, you are gonna be disappointed. Heck, even if it's a Squier Standard you'll probably be disappointed.

You can get a halfway decent Mighty Mite neck for about $100, or a much better Warmoth for around $200. I wouldn't go near that $59 bottom feeder if I were you.

I would normally say that one can only speak from experience, but I have to agree with those in favor of the "you get what you pay for" mantra, at least in this case.

The 12-year olds are master builders, this is out of the 8-year old pile me thinks.

The problem is that these are most likely seconds from a production line that makes inexpensive guitars like Rondo's SXs. Somebody bought a lot of them over in China and is selling them off to unsuspecting Americans.

That said, I would buy one to build a cigar box or tin can guitar where the emphasis would be on slide playing. They should work really nicely for that purpose. I wouldn't put one on one of my existing guitars, not even my SXs.

The heel width is a bit wide isn't it? is yours close to 2-3/16? Also, double chek the height at the heel, that can screw you up on some of these import necks.

Allparts, Warmoth, Musikraft, or USACG. Good luck.

Which Fender Strat have you actually got?

And why wouldn't you want something better than, not decidedly crummier than, a real Fender neck?
