I went the budget route on these 2 types of fuzzes:

Catalinbread fuzzrite v2 (silicon), and CMC Buzzaround (Reverb seller) which uses Soviet Ge trannys.

Oh cool. Wanna fess up gearage tourbox details? Really pretty ecstatic about the Marq Won. I'm finding more detail and splat in middle and right positions that I hadn't covered yet, so total WIN. Left gets into the Supa MK1 sound, so it covers huge ground.

My other Marq Won track, now on BandCamp with the glorious new image. Desert Island Fuzz doodz!

Noticed that - can you say more or is there a link for info?

Also, nice Won, @biffoz ! I also make use all of the switch regions, the layout makes it easy to navigate between widely different tones.

Absolutely: otherwise I would have grabbed the Supa MK1. Fun Toggle is amazing. Paint job is amazeballs. I bet there are more from this build! (Just sayin') @basicaudio???

It works better than I expected. Set it to boost, with mostly clean sound and it blends nicely. Or go the opposite and get some clarity back. Either way it still sounds like one sound, instead of two disjointed sounds

I haven't tried it with a clean amp yet, I wouldn't be surprised if that sounded kind of weird.

The gate is really useful too

Arcane is one of my favorite fuzz gurus, I have yet to play a pedal built by him that i don’t like. He is currently building a MkI and MkII, with extra knobs, bias for each transistor, all the crazy stuff.
Man, that Arcane does sound wicked! I actually ordered a buzzaround with Matt at Blackstrap, and I found a rare piece built by Ian Sherwen. He said he only made a few and then descontinued it. However, I still getting one from Arcane Your track sold me!

Yes, sorry, I meant the Sola Bender. Still, the JMD will definitely give more of a Tonbender vibe.

How do you like the Catalinbread Fuzzrite? Been eyeballing that one for a while.

It's ok, the whole fuzzrite type of sound is thinner than what I'm usually looking for. Haven't played any other fuzzrite pedals though.

Anyone try the Animals Pedals fuzz? How well do they approximate the Skreddy pedals (know that he designed them)?

I'm especially curious per the Rover. Splatt's demos from 2017 sound great.

    [I guess it's a Mk. IV?]
