For Eastman T386 owners, what kind of string gauge do you use? I understand that string gauges are usually personal preference but mine came with 11 gauge and I read somewhere that Eastman recommends using 11 gauge for that guitar. I have used 10 gauge strings in my other 335 guitars and want to get others opinion prior to switching.

I use 10s. Never thought of trying 11s. For me it's not lacking anything so I'm not going to try and fix it.

I have a T486 (slightly fancier version of the 386) and as you said, they all come with 11's. My first 486, when I went to 10's ran out of truss adjustment. The replacement had no such issue. I wouldn't call them overly stiff but my singlecuts are easier to bend on, all with 10's. So personally, I wouldn't go back to 11's and there's really no reason not to go with 10's. Guitar plays just fine with them.
