I know I have broached this subject a few weeks ago on the Guitar Thread page but now that I have actually received my new L5-CES I find myself really liking the .12's it came with.

I'm afraid if I go with some .11's like I thought I was going to have to do, (I normally use .10's) that I would take away from the great jazz tone the L5 has.
Having said that, I am attaching a link to some .12's for opinion.

A related question would be, will I lose any of the "jazz tone" if I do choose to go with the D'Addario .11 XL's?

The 11s will feel more like 10s but don't sound near as fat as the 12s

    Flats?

I'd like to try some on my Reverend PA-1. Chromes are not my favorite option.

I have just started using pyramid nickel classics with the round core and they are the missing piece of the puzzle for me, and pyramid now have a new customer in me.

Night and day difference to my usual brands that shall stay nameless.
