On my CV Telecasters I have a bit of a problem with the E strings sliding off of the fret ends. I don't have this issue with Gibson's or my Stratocaster.

Is this related to nut width, fret beveling, fretboard radius, maple boards, etc?

    Thanks.

Nut width along with over- fret bevelling IMO...nut can be fixed but the frets cant unfortunately w/o new fret job

Use the string as a straight edge and look down the side of the neck to see if the string and neck edge are the same distance from each other all the way down the neck.
Could be you need to loosen the neck bolts and change the position of the neck a little. Some pockets are a bit tighter than
others as are the occasional screw hole in the body.
Particularly if this is happening when you fret above the 10th fret.
If not the necks lateral angle, it could be the bridge is slightly skewed or off center.

And, if you are new to telecasters, it could simply be a technique adjustment.
