I have a V2 El Cap that I've been using for a while and this weekend it just started popping through the amp when the effect is engaged/disengaged. Has anyone experienced this before?

Mine just recently started doing this as well, my Flint and El Cap. Although I wasn't running it through a loop until more recently as well (Suhr Badger 30).

My flint also flashes both led's and has an audible "tick" sound when they flash.

    Are you using isolated power?

I tried powering it both with my PP2 and the Strymon adapter.

I don't know if you guys already solved your issue, sold your pedals or sacrificed them on a moonlit night, here's the reply i got from Strymon, it worked for me, no more "pop":

None of my strymon pedals have ever done this, and I've had many of them.

i don't know exactly what causes it.
it's got something to do with true bypass pedals used with buffered pedals, i guess, i don't know.

what do you have on your board?

    Hi!

Just got a used Flint home for testing. It has the same pop sound when engaging the pedal. This occurs only in true bypass mode and isn't audible in buffered mode. Do you think it is a problem inside the pedal or in the chain? Ive tried with different power supplies, cables, guitars and amps and its still there in true bypass...
Should I return the pedal or just use it in buffered mode? Any thoughts? :)

Don't run it in True Bypass mode

Yeah, why not right? Shouldn't be any drawbacks with using it in buffered mode?
