I got a DC-30 style amp yesterday and I really dig it. However, I am looking for a boost that does not have a pronounced mid-hump, like a TS style pedal. I am using a Bad Monkey right now and it does sound quite good, but there is an overabundance of mids. Not looking for a distortion pedal, just something that will push it...with some EQ functions.

Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Nobody? What about that boost that has the EQ cut built in? Can't remember what that was called....

Tim or Timmy sound like it would work great...it's a clean boost/OD with cut controls for Bass and Treble so you can really tailor the sound in a very natural way.

byoc tribooster, diamond boost eq, twinstomp booster, maybe a good graphic eq pedal like the byoc 10 band or a modded boss ge-7.

If you want a straight boost with no coloration whatsoever, check out a Barber Launch Pad. Clean...clean...clean.

The Launch Pad is my favorite clean boost, but the OP is looking for some EQ capability so the LP isn't an option. ;)

I like my FatBoost and my BB with the gain run low and volume run high with mine.

+1. Perfect for what you're looking for. ...actually all you need is the Timmy, the Tim might be more than what you need.

I really dig the Fulltone OCD. It makes every rig I've used it with sound like the rig itself only cranked up!

I really like the Keeley BD-2 for that. In front of my 2203 or after my tube zone into a clean amp as a solo boost. it's fantastic. I like it better than the RC. beleive it or not!
