I had the Crunchbox for awhile, but it was not my thing. I’m looking for something with a bigger rounder fatter tone that really sings for solos.

So far after listening to a few clips online, I have these on my list of Possibilities so far:

Wampler Plextortion
Wampler Pinnacle 2
Brownie
MI Audio Tube Zone

Anyone have any feedback of these or other pedals and maybe links to some clips?
Thanks

Barber Direct Drive with mod board.

Big, warm and fat. More chunky than crunchy. Really sings for lead work.

Brownie is very high gain, and very warm, almost too stuffy for me.

Tube Zone is nice if you don't max out the gain. Start with everything at noon and dial in the internal presence knob first, then tweak from there.

Other than that, I also really like the Barber DD and the Wampler Plexidrive. The BOR can be warm also, but doesn't have a lot of gain.

I have a Barber Small Fry and it's the warmest pedal I've heard to my ears... You can just use the volume knob for boost and it gives you a nice fat OD. Roll the Dynamics knob all the way to the right and you'll get great string seperation too.
