currently I'm running strat>ts-9/silver>analogman mini bi-comp>boss dd-20>fender drri. any suggestions on what to add. I like the micro synth, but have to return it b/c I'm in need of cash. eventually I will get a super duper and a rmc3. any other suggestions? I'm thinking a fuzz or another overdrive to really get leads to sing. I'm not sure of the overdrive, maybe a timmy or tim. the fuzz - I was thinking about a byoc ultimate fuzz.

What price range are you looking at? You said you are returning the microsynth because you need cash. Are you looking for something cheaper?

not talking price range, just suggestions for future additions. if anything, I'd like the micro synth, but with individual string tracking, like the hog.

I was thinking the mayo, but the byoc ultimate fuzz is really tempting too. I'd like the david gilmore solo fuzz sound, but I like the billy corgan "wall of sound" fuzz as well.

If you want Gilmour fuzz sounds get the Foxrox Hot Silicon. It nails the Time solo type sounds if you want it to.

If you want crazy Microsynth sounds, maybe keep your eye open for a Digitech Space Station...not sure if they're polyphonic but it can do some amazing synth type sounds, although they're getting pretty pricey.

What kind of sounds are you looking for? Some of the Boss pitch shifters can do synth type sounds as well.

How about putting the compressor in front of the TS? Comp in front of a drive can be a killer lead boost.

Weren't Skreddys initially supposed to emulate Billy Corgan's massive fuzz tone?

actually, anyone have any experience with the boss pitch shifters for whammy like effects? I like the whammy, just hate digitech these days.

The PS-5 is awesome for whammy type things. IMO, it's superior even than the whammy. The T. Arm setting is more than adequate if you don't want an exp. pedal, plus it's got incredible tracking. For the price of a P.S. nowadays, you can't go wrong with the PS-5.

It even impressed this dude I met who used the craziest vintage analog and hard to come by synths you've ever seen

Jonny Greenwood. Have you even heard Kid A? Was that guitars or someone dragging a rug over his pedalboard while he held a note and played with the volume pot?

I heard it was a custom made volume pot and a 10k persian rug.
