do the solid maple necks have a lot of finish on them?

compare to anything else? Grosh? tyler?

I love the tyler maple neck. after playing the tyler the grosh felt sticky.

Suhr's necks don't have a lot of finish and they are VERY smooth and easy to play. Absolutely no stickiness, even when new.

You can get them either with a satin finished neck, or oil finished. I have both. The satin is really thin and glides well, not sticky at all. The oil however is my favorite, it's smooth as butter and even smells really good!

I'm 20 minutes south of Cleveland , Brunswick, Ohio.... yep they have the V60lp's... gotta love those PU's:D
