Looking forward to some user reviews and clips of this amp.
Yeah - I can't wait for the official Suhr demo. Can't be too much longer...
I heard it last night at the Suhr factory concert. Andy Wood and Big Wreck played through it. Sounded very nice with the variety of guitars and pedals they were using.
Waiting for a PRS Vela-Suhr Bella dual demo.
Compare the Bella and Hedgehog demos to the PT-100 demo...
which pedals are used in the demo?
Can someone explain to me how the fx loop line in and out dials work and what the in & out switch does?
Suhr ShibaDrive Reloaded for overdrive. The reverb and delay were in the effects loop. They were the TC Flasback and Hall of Fame.
The send level is the amount of signal to send to the effect so that you don't distort the effect, the return is basically your overall return volume. Some effects like the eventide have a clip light so it makes things easier, we do have suggested settings in the manual. The In/Out bypasses the loop. Ideally to maintain the bloom of the amp set the send and return so that when you switch the effects loop in or out there is no level change.
John not to put you on the spot,
but if you had to pick a old fender amp that the Bella sounds closest to
what would it be?
The clip sounded smoother on top than a classic Blackface? Or does it still have that classic
bite if you want it?
Thanx, looks like a cool amp ,
Maybe a similar quality to a BF Super but really nothing like it at the same time.
Maybe a cross between that and a Low Power Tweed Twin sort of but not really.
Those iconic amps can flub out on the bass when pushed, this does not. The clip really didnt show that side of it but we will get there.
The output section has flavors of my well know clean channel but with a vintage give.
It has plenty of classic bite and a much tighter bottom end than a BF style of amp.
I also had the issue with my super where it is really hard to dial in a drive pedal to sound fat and still be able to have brilliance when the pedal is off.
That is fixed here as well
Andy intentionally played it that way to sound "Bella" but it can easily sound Bubba.
Plug it in to a 4x12 and you could easily do old ZZTop (Tres Hombres and earlier).
Maybe a little 9v tap on the back so you can just sit your reverb pedal right on top and not worry about it...? Future revision, lol
Wow, that clip sounded amazing
Thanks for your reply John,
I'm guessing that if you have a few pedals in the loop by various manufacturers they will all have different line level so is it a case of getting a happy medium between them all?
In my loop I have a Line6 M9 (only for modulation) a TC Hall of fame mini and a Suhr Jack Rabbit tremolo.
When do you think this amp will hit the street?
That amp sounds very nice.May have to do some "creative" financing. Anyone know where one could get the jam track he's playing in the video ? would love to get tracks like that to jam to.
I think it's a song off Andy's new album.
Thanks..will be checking that out.
Correct! It's called The Hardest Goodbye from Andy's album: Caught Between the Truth and a Lie. Great tune and a great album.
Is the Bella handwired or is it PCB based?
