    Hi Ed,

One part of me looks forward to your posts as I just love your playing. This one included. Another part of me wants you to stop posting altogether as it points out that there's not enough time in my life to follow in your musical footsteps. ;)

What's the dirt in this one? Box/pedal or cranked amp?

    Cheers,

    Mats N

just me? or is there a tad bit of Govt. Mule's Beautifully Broken in that little groove?

Nice work, I have to say though, I'm partial to your Flexi tone Ed.

Really diggin it Ed... a littel less mids than normal for you, which makes sense with this amp. It's like when a friend of mine plays through my amps.... he makes them sound completely different amps. All in the hands....

    Hi Ed,

Somewhat OT in this topic but I wonder what pick-ups you've got on your Suhr Classic that you recorded this clip with?

Also did you record this amp using a Hotplate or you just got used to your ears bleeding?

    Cheers,

    Mats N

Hot Plate on -16dB into an iso cab!!!! Dead quiet.

Pups...I think it's a V60LP in the neck and middle, and a DSV in the bridge. Also have an onboard pre like those Alembic Stratoblasters, but it was off.

    Same as always...
here's the chain that hasn't changed in like 2 years...except guitars and amps. :)
66 BF bassman head imto a 8 ohm Hot Plate, into the Demeter iso cab with a V30, miked with a 609. Into the EMU-1820M soundcard into Sequoia.
The Beck clip was bassmn, Hot Plate, line-out into the board.
Speaker sim was a impulse response of the THD Flexi power section into a V30 miked with a 57.

As always Ed, that sounds great. I'm interested in the the Impulse Response that you used as the speaker sim. Is that IR file something that you would be at liberty to share? I'd like to try it in my environment.

Ed, are you going to have Andy do his Bassman mod on the Bass channel?

Oh, BTW, love the clips. Both the tone and the playing.
