John and Ed graciously agreed to swap out the pickups in my custom order Suhr for that last bit of fine tuning.

    Before with DSV's and V60LP:

    After with SSV's and V54:

Couldn't be happier with the result, thanks guys!

Thanks guys, it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

And yea, the chrome looked cool, but the uncovered SSV's have the brighter airy tone I wanted. And they split better too. I'm glad I got to hear the DSV's though... they might work for me in a chambered mahogany fiddle... hmmm.

Hmm... my experiences with the crew at Suhr, including Steve, have been exemplary in every way. I could not have asked for better service. I regret you had troubles.

I just got a Classic (swamp ash, maple/pau ferro bd.)a couple of weeks ago. It had V60's that were very trebly and harsh....Ed and John were kind enough to allow me to swap them out for V60lp's. What an incredible difference! I now have the most fantastic, woody, stratty tone I have ever heard. They gave my classic more bottom end and smokiness. And with OD, it is so meaty (thru my Victoria Victorilux). I had heard about Suhr's customer service before I bought mine.....and I must admit, It was a major factor in my purchasing my classic (besides its playability, and intonation). I can't thank you enough, Ed and John. I am considering getting a classic T from you in the future........:D

Yes. I don't recall who, but someone complained of a bad experience with Suhr - sending tuners to the wrong address, I believe. Perhaps he finally got his tuners and decided to delete his reply. :NUTS

It's cool with me to share the negative as well as positive. Customer service is a priority for me.

BTW, my interactions were with Ed, who was very helpful and responsive.

Those zebras look killer!! I didn't really dig the guitar with covered hums, but do with the new pups.
