Suhr Modern with neck single coil?

I've always been under the impression that a 25" scale 24 fret neck like a Suhr Modern means having just a neck single coil puts the pickup out of its sweet spot when compared to a 22 fret neck.

Does anyone have any experience to the contrary? I've got the option on a Suhr with a 24 fret neck and a neck single coil but I can't get my head around this.

I've got 24 and 22 fret guitars that are pretty much identical otherwise. I've read the various claims that say that there's a harmonic convergence on the planetary something or other that makes one better than the other. I've seen the "technical" claims on both sides.

It's drivel.

Comparing a PRS 513 (22 frets) with a Suhr GG Modern (24 frets), the Suhr has more of a strat neck pickup sound, despites the fact that both guitars have practically the same scale length. Hope that helps.

I have a GG Suhr and on position 4 the glassy strat tone is there but when I split the outside neck coil it doesn't have that same Strat tonality. I guess ultimately what I'm asking is would the same guitar with a dedicated single coil pickup be any better?
