Suhr PT100 Signature Edition

Holy ****. I see on the Suhr site it says limited to 50 pieces. John and/or Pete, is that just for the carbon fiber tolex head/cab set? And is there a "regular" version coming out where you can buy just the head? This is seriously everything I've always wanted out of the PT100, and I'd written off this new version as vaporware a few months ago when I got my Rhodes. Would make a sick addition to the stable though.

Everyone else, discuss.

I was at the Suhr factory party tonight, and I have to say, I was very impressed with Suhr's operations, their new pedals (can't wait to try the new "Rufus" fuzz pedal), new amps and their 2014 line of guitars, which were absolutely stunning. In my opinion, they best looking guitars they've made so far. Pete Thorn tore it up tonight with Ian Thornley. Great night. Thanks John.

Hey no problem and Oh Ian Thornley was playing the Rufus a lot tonight! What a freaking slide player that guy is too!
If anyone hasn't listened to Big Wreck you must ! Those Canadians must have nothing to do, must be too cold up there to go outside so they just stay home and play their asses off. Pete and Ian you guys are monsters !
I enjoyed this whole night of players more than ever and Scott thanks for playing Dolomite ! Andy and all the players were great.

I was loving Ian's tone tonight. Now that I know it was the Rufus, I'm going to have to get one!

Jeeeesus that was a fun night of music tonight. I had such a blast playing with Ian Thornley. Really too much fun.

Everyone sounded just smoking and I love all the new gear (especially my new amp!)

Thanks for checking out the demo guys, glad you dig it! That's all ch2/3, and the boost in some parts. Neck pickup on the Classic s with vol rolled down for intro and outro. Pretty plexi-ish, no? :)

A full demo to follow ASAP, of course.

It isn't going away, it is the look that will change after the first 50.
We are still in discussions about exactly what the changes would be.
BTW the cab is a deep cab with Creamback H and is smokes my 4x12 holy grail with G12M's
Plus if it helps anyone the boost is global and asignable to any channel at the footswitch. Also all midi switching
I'm going to be stealing a lot of gear this year this year from the shop for myself ;-)

Cool. Any timeline on the normal release, or should I just try and get the cash together for the LE set if I'm interested? How does the cab work with V30s? I try to only keep one 2x12 around, and the V30 is a better general purpose speaker for me than the Creambacks. Plus I loved my old OD100 with V30s. More so than with the set of old Blackbacks I had.

Thats exactly what I thought. VERY plexi-ish!!
Amazing how it transitions from a chimey plexi tone with volume knob down and gets a hot rodded plexi tone with the volume up.

The plex-ish tone is incredible as well for a master volume amp. I think I like it more than a NVM plexi as well. I would have to play them to see the difference.

I am blown away by the right amount of looseness and more blown away by how dripping wet rich the tone is.

That could be well the best MV amp I have ever heard on tape.

Flippin nice job John Suhr!

Pete Thorn, your playing has improved. That is pretty tough to do when you are already a great player. Your phrasing has matured even more. You must have had some good influences and experiences in Europe? Hats off.

i agree.

pete, it would be great if you could give some comparisons between the new sig and the SL68. obviously, yours has way more gain potential but dialed into the same late-60ish type plexi realm, what are the similarities and differences between the two.

thanks!

Congrats John! A truly jaw dropping array of announcements this year. And what killer one piece guitars in the 2014 collection. You know how I feel about those one piece maple/cocobolo neck guitars. Amazing stuff! Thanks for your hard work. I need more gear .....again. :p

John - thanks for spending so much time with me today. You are so committed to craft and your company. Thanks for telling me about noiseless relays. Btw- it was suggested to also check out the Peterson clip tuner in your quest!

The new gear is fantastic sounding! Pete Thorn is 'pretty good'. ;-)

I don't see any mike, so what are we earing?
Sounds great by the way.

Duplicate cab was in the isolation closet.
All our videos are done that way. The video room is where the monitors are. Trying to Mic in that room would be very difficult since he wouldn't be able to hear the backing tracks
