I did not know that the pickups need to be the same polarity, I think my middle is reverse wound. I have the backplate coming in this week from Boutique Music. I'll call you when it gets here.

Can you speak more to that subject, please? (same polarity direction and the advantages therein?). It is something I often suspected tonewise but never really studied in depth...

If only John decides to sell the SSS back plate for about 200 bucks, it would be nice for "the rest of us" (not only for star like Scott Henderson) !

I'm not sure if it's secret proprietary magic, but may I ask how the SSS system works? I take it that it's more sophisticated than a dummy coil or a high order RC filter embeded in a back plate? :)

The Suhr noiseless is a great idea and I would 100% get one if it wasn't for 1 thing...I don't use my back plates and don't like the idea of having them on there. So I'll have to stand by my old standby. I only have one guitar with noiseless in it right now, but currently working on my '65 Relic and probably going to put a noiseless system in 'er. Might be getting a replacement body for it (it's a parts guitar). I currently have Suhr V60LPs in it

    Hi

I believe I can make a custom BPSSC that will keep the tremolo cavity open.

is it possible to remove the circuit from the backplate and just stuff it into your electronics cavity? ive seen the little thing that looks like a quarter sized thingamajig. could you take it off the back plate? is that all there is involved?

i have put the backplate on two of my main guitars and while i always was one of those who liked no plate, i can live with it to be able to have a far less noisy version of my favorite guitars. that said, if there is a way to do it without the plate, i'm all ears. can it be on the underside of the pickguard? regardless, thanks to suhr and ilitch for making this technology happen. it couldn't have come at a better time--when i'm rediscovering the beauty of low output true single coils!
