Suhr SL67

    I have an SL68 and dig on it. My bandmate does a Masonette or an Emplex- Just curious where the SL67 plays is in that crowd.

    That's a good point. I have come to appreciate the really special thing that certain amps have where they get dynamic enough to feel good under your fingers, but not to the point where the guitar is playing itself, so to speak. It can be a tough ride sometimes, but I have found that when you really work at it the results are often more rewarding because of the clarity due to less saturation.

    totally floored by the last section there! the VH spot with the 335.
    darn fine clean tones with the strat too. . .

    It's an Ownhammer IR, of a 1978 Celestion Blackback G12M. I used a reactive load to load the amp and added the IR in Logic. I started out miking my 4-12" with ASW Crossroads, and it sounded great, and then I thought "I'll just try the ioad and IR..." And damn of it didn't just sound great. So I went with it.

    Basically, you're hearing the amp through a Marshall 4-12" with greenbacks :)
