I have both on my board. Both very different and very great. You might want to hop on a sunface first as he is running out of chips and they are getting expensive already.

You mean good germanium transistors. No chips in any of the analogman fuzzes to the best of my knowledge.

One just went for $300 on ebay this week. There is a note on the sunface page that says he is running low, and if you check the sunlion page he states that he can not make new lions due to lack of NKT transistors.

Many of the sunfaces w/o the dial are not NKT 275 and that is the one to get.

There isn't any note on the Sunface page that states he is running low on Transistors. Mike himself came on here and said that he isn't running low or out anytime soon. I am not sure where this misinformation is coming from.

The only thing he is running low on is some old NKT's he had remaining from the first batch, though it sounds like he prefers the ones from the 'new' second batch.

Maybe there is a confusion with Mike Fuller, who did run low on transistors for Fuzz Face type pedals and so discontinued the 69.

Update 4/08 : We are getting low on the NKTs we have used for the past five years. So we will be offering the older style NKTs optionally for the same price. See above for more info.

i just bought one - i remember seeing this on the page

I stand corrected. He is running low on the newer type and will offer the older ones to replace the newer ones.
