Hi Everyone, I acquired a Supro steel a couple months ago and went on vacation and didn't get to check it out. I just returned and thought I'd ask the experts about it.

Everyone thinks it is an old classic. I haven't a clue and I can't even play jacks;).

You can view a picture of it at: http://tinyurl.com/83v6rva

Not a very good picture, but I'll be happy to answer any questions that you may have about it.

    Thanks a bunch,]

    Jim

It's a Comet, which was in the middle of the Supro steel line. The white knob most likely dates it to 1954 or earlier; the other knob is a replacement. If the serial number plaque is still there (nailed to the back of the headstock), the number can be looked up here.

Thanks for the info. According to the page, X22848 is a 1953.

BTW, this guitar is FOR SALE. Any feel for the value?

    Anyone on here interested?

    Regards,

    Jim

I'd estimate $250-300; maybe towards the top of that range if you have a case.

    No case. Thanks.

Other than eBay, got any recommendations on where/how to market it?

    Regards,

    Jim
