Anyone play an SVL Strat? This model sounds like a winner, especially given the fact that it is being built to replace Matt Schofield's 61 Fender Strat on the road. Does anyone have contact information for SVL?

It's a guitar built for him by his tech Simon Law. i don't know if he's making them to sell or just to give Matt an alternative to his Pre CBS Strat.

Simon also works as a writer for the UK 'Guitarist' magazine. You may be able to contact him there.

Yea, looks like he builds about 6 guitars a year. Maybe Fred Stuart at Virtual Vintage would be a good alternative.

Hey there folks, yeah i do only make a handfull of guitars a year but i am looking to 'up' production this year, i am currently finishing off a couple of guitars for Matt Schofield and have a few customers patiently waiting, i do have a couple of guitars for sale at the moment.. the SVL 57, a fifties style 'st' guitar with obvious influence.. one piece alder body, soft 'v' neck, fully super thin nitro, steel trem block and Kluson vintage machines, custom wound Lindy Fralin pu'ps etc etc.. email me for more details..

Great looking site, not cluttered, very contemporary and cool. I am a huge fan of Matt's and have been and have been googling SVL for a while and never came up with anything until now!! I wish you all the best and I am certain that your name is going to become one to look out for in Strat and Tele style guitars.
