which of these doesnt have too much high end harshness, with good tracking(my aw3 seems to have a latency? wonder why)
    oh and no volume drop!

the only real reason im considering the swaw now is because I like that it has less knobs(and none of those little silver levers, i cant tape those down.)

    Haven't tried the Proton

The SWAW doesn't have a harsh high-end to my ears (which I hate on most wah pedals), the tracking is great and no volume drop.

As for taping down controls, be mindful that the sensitivity knob will need to be changed for every guitar you use.

I have only tried the SWAW, but it is pretty sweet, IMHO.

I also very much like my Proton, but I've never tried the SWAW.

MIght want to base the decision on the sound you are looking for.

The SWAW is a more "normal" wah voice that responds like an autowah

The Proton from what I gather is more of the traditional Mutron style autowah.

That SWAW is my new favorite. Just got the PCB version and I really have never had a better filter. Thick and vocal with all kinds of character, mostly controlled by your picking pressure, but pretty easily dialed in. I just take a bit off my volume knob and away we go. Does sick things with the overdrives and fuzzes.

i do a lot of percussive tones. I like that dod25fx type sound. Is SWAW cool for that? The mutron sounds almost sounds(from the settings ive heard) like a wah with some humanizer elements to it
