$225 doesn't feel like a blowout price for a booster pedal

JHS has a pretty good response. They’re re-housing them, and offering to re-paint any existing boxes, while donating (some, if not all) the proceeds to women’s shelters or something.
    Pretty classy move.
They said if the circuit is popular, they’ll keep making it.
If not, I guess they’ll just use the boards they have for it and that’ll be it.

Saw their post on instagram. I actually liked the look of the new rehoused version better.

Seeing whether something is going to be popular when it’s possibly limited to start may yield some odd results though - they’ll sell quickly because they may be limited and then when they do actual runs of them they’ll sell much slower.

Some people liked Ryan’s tone, others didn’t. So the pedal has some following, I imagine.
It’s not like the pedal itself was like “hey girl, do me and I’ll make you a star”, and Ryan isn’t getting any money from it.
If anything, continuing to make the pedal without him getting any money for it is a bit of an effyew to Adams.
But chances are, unless it’s selling like hotcakes, they probably just want to put this all behind them.

In this day and age, I think there's likely a difference between being found "not guilty" in a court of law (you're never found innocent) and going back to being respected and liked. The stories are really consistent of lying and taking advantage-that's not illegal but it's distasteful and will hurt his brand for a long time.

Criminal guilt and publicity issues are different things.
If he’s innocent, he won’t go to jail.
But why should endorsing companies be stuck with his toxic image?
If he’s found innocent, most people are gonna be like “What a doosh”. There’s quite a stack of public evidence.
He might not go to jail, but that doesn’t mean anyone should have to associate with someone they don’t like.

If I were going to get a DEFCOM pedal, I want DEFCOM 1 which is full scale on-slaught, cocked pistol, end of the world overdrive. Not a slightly elevated state of readiness which is DEFCOM 4. Just saying. ;)

Okay, now back to your regularly scheduled debates..

Like my mom used to tell me when I was ten and bothering her for a sixth glass of Blanton's on the rocks.

"No. Now go play in traffic."

Sweetwater thinks anything more than 10% off is a blowout price.

Weird concept for a Ryan Adams pedal. I could see maybe Dave Mustaine with a pedal like that. But I don't associate Deacon 4 war like overdrive or whatever with a melancholy dopy soft rocker. I didn't really look to see what kind of pedal it was. It just looked kind of silly.

Taking advantage of and preying upon up and coming artists (regardless of gender) is a ****** thing to do, but I love how people are now calling him toxic, as if he was a choir boy before all of this.

Dude's been toxic for the better part of two decades. And this is coming from a fan!

I've never even heard of this doofus douchbag until the recent news hit. I read his background. Have yet to hear his music. He doesn't play on my Pandora channel. And to even consider buying a pedal that he endorsed or used... not even close.

If there were actual blowout prices on these pedals, I’d snag them in a heartbeat.
