Sweetwater guitar purchase last weekend...still no ship.

    I get them and many more from sources I don't really need to hear from. Caller ID is my friend and voice mail my partner and call screener. :D

    LOL....it's included in the 55 point inspection right.....a road test.

    I ended up canceling a SW order last year due to waiting weeks for shipping. It gave me the impression that they didn't actually have the guitar in stock and were waiting for the manufacturer to ship to them so they could ship to me.

    After several emails I finally pulled the plug on the order and placed an order for the same instrument thru Zzounds. They shipped that same day and it arrived 2 days later.
    Should've gone that route in the first place.

    New DC is massive. I'd hate to see the logistics behind that entire move.good luck

    **** happens and stuff gets back ordered but typically they'll tell you that or it will even appear on the dealers website to inform you on an expected ship date before you place an order.

    Now more often than not the dealer ships earlier than expected like something I should get today that wasn't expected to ship 'til 2/26. But zZounds is a very good dealer as well.

    Honestly, when it’s the customer needing to reach out after each failed shipping promise....not great.

    I understand the delay.

    100% agree. The expectation should have been set on call #1 by us.

    I have ordered tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff from them and have never had this come up. Did you speak with your rep directly yet?

    Didn’t want to miss an opportunity to say; Fed ex sucks.

    They used to be great around here. Now just lies of delivery attempts never actually made. Boo to you FedEx.

    SW has always been good to me the few times I’ve ordered from them.

    I could believe there is a small transition period going on. I saw an article this week that they just completed a huge new warehouse. When they did renovations the the Target in my town, there was a period of a few months with things in Seacans in the parking lot. I could imagine that at Sweetwater, there were things in areas of temporary or less accessible storage as they were moving things from one area to another.

    OK, and I agree that somebody has dropped the ball but who? Your rep? Yes, you should have been notified and someone slipped up.

    That's one issue I was schooled on very early in my career. If there's gonna be a delay always call them before they call you.

    Did Sweetwater have to move to a bigger warehouse because of all the fraudulent Vertex products they are selling and promoting now?

    Hey guys another Sweetwater rep here, right now the goal is to get completely caught up on shipments over the next few days. It's legit just down to us moving warehouses. As reps we're doing our best to be completely transparent and take care of everybody. On the plus side there's a short pain period during the transition but once it's done we'll be able to give even better service than we do now. We'll be able to keep a ton more in stock and get it out the door even quicker. That's not even mentioning the hundreds of new guitar inspection stations in the new space...

    I wish they would tell you when something is back ordered before you buy it.

    They got me twice with that one.
