Just ordered a new keyboard and a Roland Integra 7 module from them. Really nice service and got free overnight shipping. Bonus

They are indeed excellent, have never had a bad experience with them.

Ordered an amp stand from them today. I live in Indiana, which means I pay tax, yet they're still my first choice for online gear shopping.

My "rep" is a douche. Calls all the time. I inquired about a guitar and he told me the listed price was the best he could do or they would lose money. I told him I know dealer cost and there was still a LOT of room. A week later the guitar was on blowout price and it sold. Moving on.

Unlike MF and Amazon. I USED to order from these businesses, but since CA insisted they collect sales tax, they are rarely less $$. In my county, sales tax is 9%. If I want to pay sales tax, I'll just go to my local music store and not wait for the mail.

Sweetwater isn't always the lowest price on some things. You just have to comparison shop. But they do have sales and specials often. I have had nothing but great service from them. I just got a special set of strings, shipped free, for under 5 bucks. Who does that?

Think I know who you are referring to....Yu?

If it is him, he is relentless and talks about 'my store' 'how am I going to keep MY doors open selling it to you for that price?'

Or maybe they all do that?;)

I get the same rap. I do not bother. Better prices are had elsewhere.

I bought a $5 Hosa adapter from them once, about 3-4 years ago and still get occasional phone calls. As was said, free shipping on a $5 item is rare so I always look to them first for low buck items. I haven't yet bought anything else from them.

PM me with his name if you would. I'm curious if I have had the same guy, lol. Though to be fair it seems like my guy does try to deal a bit. Just not very much. (I'm not taking about stuff they can't really deal on like Mesa or Fulltone.)

If they have what I want at a fair price, fine; if not, plenty of other options.

Just the way they do business, my rep is fine though I don't chit-chat with him.

They have a good deal on the Ableton Push + Live 9 Suite, looking for a good 3-4 hour window of time to get this up and running without any distractions and interruptions. Delivered yesterday, box is sitting unopened on my floor :( Will not have time until Sunday afternoon if I'm lucky :(

Big fan of them! My rep is awesome, and always goes the extra mile.

i feel lucky there is a store about 40 miles from me, huge store. but you are no longer welcome to walk in, pick up an acoustic and start playing. last time i did it a salesman opened the door, stuck his head in & took a short look and said "at least you took your jacket (with zipper) off" and left.

Great store, great staff. Go to their GearFest in the summer if you have a chance. Like a Mini-NAMM. INcredible facility. They treat their employees very well and are doing a lot of things right.

If you dont want to be contacted via phone and/or email , just let them know, and its no problem.

I wish they had a better selection. As a bassist, I LOVE Warwick, and I'm a huge fan of Reverend guitars. Can't buy either through Sweetwater. My experience has been great with them, but they need to carry the right brands too (Warwick and Reverend are just two examples of a lot of missing names from their inventory).
