Been looking for a good cheap hot P-90 guitar. I usually hear good things about Rondo/SX/Agile products on this forum, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this particular model. I like the fact that it's derived from the Jazzmaster body (I've never played a Jazzmaster that I didn't like). Should I go for it? PLEASE HELP I love the design and the specs, but it's worthless to me if it sounds like poop.

If Kurt (Rond music) makes a two pickup model of this, i'll buy two of 'em...

Only problem I hear about is the need to replace the bridge with a standard Mustang bridge. Also I've heard people reccomend Wilkinson tuners to replace the standard SX ones

the pickups are fine. I left mine in there but I am changing the tuning gears..they don't stay in tune well enough for the stage and they feel pretty bottom dollar...I also changed the pots for RS kit...i get my yens worth now...the bridge seems fine to me. the action on this guitar is like a PRS...

Usually pretty fast. The best part about Rondo to me is the customer service that Kurt provides.

I ordered one on a Wednesday night after they closed and it was at my house Friday at noon.

To Florida, it will probably be another day or two on top of that via ground.

Rondo is quick - it will ship tomorrow and you may have it in hand on Friday if the trucks are willing!

I'll second the fast shipping. Kurt is great about getting them out quick, and he uses FedEx, they seem to like to get it there quick.

Thier service is great. I recently ordered a guitar from them, the rear strap button screw was so overtightened that the finish cracked and chipped. I sent it back and was sent a replacement very quickly. Thier stuff is also spectacular bang for the buck!!

Can't wait 'til it gets here, it was the most impulsive buy of my life. For crying out loud! I bought it on my laptop in the middle of my American Fiction class!!!

    Man....GAS is bad

Shipping should be quick. I bought a slim tapered LP copy from them a couple of years ago. It was on back order, but after a week and a half, it was shipped out and I received it quickly. Kurt provides one of the best, if not the best, customer service I've ever dealt with. Let me know how it plays!

I have an SX Tele. I didn't like the somewhat fat neck, so I changed it out, but that's personal preference. It's pretty much what others have said. The weak links are the gears and the pots, sometimes the nut setup, but good customer service.

What RS kit did you use? I'm a total bonehead when it comes to guitar electronics.
