As I posted earlier in this thread, the unit runs very hot to the touch. It may overheat without good airflow.

Thanks for replying, appreciate it. I did look, but must have missed this info across the 48 pages.

No issues. A 1U rack case is fine. The top of the unit where the tube vents are gets hot to the touch, naturally the power tubes are right there under the cover. But the dual fans pull cool air through the front panel vents and exhausts the hot air out the back.

FYI, we sent a prototype out to for an artist to check out and provide feedback. The chassis had NO vents on it and there were NO fans inside. He was just supposed to listen to it for a couple of days and bring it back. Instead, he mounted it in a very tight rack and went out for a 2 week tour. It came back fine and he reported no issues...

Got the Engle Saturday. Still dialing it in, the lower channel sounds good, but when you switch to the top channel it adds a ton off low end and gain, it's a beast. A little noisey, but there's a lot of gain coming through. Will try back to back with the VH4 soon.

Edit: I meant to mention that string definition is solid even at a high gain levels.

So bummed I missed this! Did everyone stock up? No break on the SYN-1?

Will keep my eyes open on Independence Day.

I'm having a hard time figuring out which module to get. I thought I wanted an 800 but the SLO and Metropoulos sure sound like winners. A Hiwatt module sure would be cool.

BTW, any word on the bracket that let's you put the SYN-1 on top of a combo amp?

No sale on the SYN-1 or SYN-2. Just the modules.

I just ordered the SYN-1 and SLO module. I don't think I've ever been this stoked for a piece of gear before!

What are you guys using to store your modules that aren't plugged in?

There are probably far more elegant solutions out there, but I’m just using the boxes the modules come in right now.

I use an SKB I series case (20x15x7). The foam pieces are removable and can be pulled out to fit each module perfectly. Can probably fit about 11-12 of them.

Randall made an 8-module carry bag that fits Egnater/Synergy modules:

Here's a clip of the Salvation Mods MatchVox in the SYN-2. Have to say I'm very impressed.
Guitar is an EJ Strat with Suhr ML Pickups.

@Warren Mendonsa the clip sounds good.

Are the Salvation Mods products fully compatible with the Synergy gear or is there anything someone would need to be aware of?

Thanks! The MatchVox slot in just fine, only thing is my module is single channel. So the switching on the SYN-2 goes Bypass, MatchVox, Syn module 2 A, module 2 B.

Thanks so if you had the two module version it would be a better fit for the Salvation mods?

I think Salvation does 2 channel modules too, just that the MatchVox I have is single channel. Best to check with them. If it does have 2 channels, it should work as usual in a Synergy host chassis.
