Syracuse has banned it's men's basketball program from any post-season play in 2015 for violations (NCAA investigation still pending) from 2007! Uh, whut?!? Should/will the NCAA ever do anything more? Is that enough? Will the North Carolina scandal go for 8 years?

At least Syracuse is being proactive. UNC hasn't done much of anything.

Why not? Do you have some inside info?

It's easier to be proactive in a year when you don't have a great team! The UNC thing will go away, too......

For Syracuse level... they have a pretty bad team.. so this year is the perfect time to ban themselves... as there is a very good chance they wouldn't have made the big tournament anyway....

Missing out on the NIT isn't a big deal to a basketball school like Syracuse.
