Been looking at this one and would like some user comments .
a friend of mine uses it, loves it to bits, got rid of the moller and acbooster and just uses the alberta now. has an awesome 808 overdrive sound.
I bought the Alberta 5 years ago. I think it was better than the stock TS-9 but
the H9 card of my Foxrox ZIM is much better. It´s not truebypass but it didn´t kill the bypassed sound like many other pedals do.
Sounds killer with a Strat and Marshall 1987x with gain around 10:00. Not quite as much bite as a Red Snapper, but still nice string separation, harmonics.
haven't tried the albert but I have a bunch of clips of the dr swamp on my demo page and it's just an outrageously great overdrive which can range from TS9 to fusion goodness.
Not that much into the distributor for them but, but T Rex are great.
I adore my Alberta in my G System. With the tone at noon it is more of an 808 and at max it is more of a ts9.
With the added EQ of the G System its heaven for blues and jazzy fusion lines.
Thanks for the input guys , I'm considering one just for something a bit different than the FDII .
I just brought an old one, hope it's good! Should find out in a day or two when it turns up.
