T-Rex Binson Echorec… WHAT?!

It’s quite compact all things considered, and very dense.

I hope they’re using nicer multi-turn pots than the ones I came across - I wasn’t a fan.

It will be interesting to see where this goes. It seems they are making better headway than Effectrode, but I can imagine it will be another year of R&D before they get anything close to a prototype. I applaud them in their efforts but I still would not buy one due to maintenance requirements alone.

I think T-Rex are serious about this and hope it will materialize.
I wasn't excited about their tape echo thingy, so here's to hoping they won't put the Echorec name to shame.

The Replicator Jr I have is absolutely amazing! I'm sure they'll do an amazing job with this one as well!

I’ve been using one the last few days. A/B’d it with my Syncopy and could dial them in to sound nearly identical apart from the added delay time on the TRex. For price, hassle and flexibility I think most good analog delays would slay it in an a/b comparison.

Still excited for any take on the Echorec, digital emulation or real deal.

Still hoping Effectrode makes one happen. The T Rex I had forgotten about. Hope it does come to fruition.
I would really like for Effectrode to come out with something too but with the way things get put off there I am not holding my breath. I lost track of how long it has been on the Delta Trem and the Phaser they have been promising to deliver since forever. They are having trouble getting these out, can you imagine how much longer it will take for anything Binson inspired?

It’s been almost 5 years or more I think that Effectrode has been working on their version of the Binson.

Trex is a bigger operation and I think there is hope that we’d see their unit much sooner than Effectrode.

The Strymon Volante is in another ballpark being that it’s a digital pedal. It’s tempting but there’s nothing like a real mechanical unit. I’ll be holding off on the Strymon for now...

The Strymon Volante is priced right, the Strymon Volante does way more, the Strymon Volante is way more reliable. These units will be very expensive to produce, wouldn’t surprise me if the number crunchers pulled the plug on this already. I’m surprised folks are still so excited about noisy mechanical units when digital effects give you so much more reliability and flexibility.

Disagree. It’s beat out every analog delay I’ve put it up against.
