I have a Wet and am in the market for a new reverb. The Talisman and Super Spring Theory have both caught my ear.

Obviously they do different things, but which one do you think is more-better?

I haven't tried either of these reverb pedals yet but it's kind of difficult to argue which one is "better" when they offer completely different styles of reverb.

Yeah. But I'm looking at as "which one instills more magic sauce on a guitar, even if they are different flavors."

Still difficult to answer but I will leave it up to those who have tried both. Personally I would decide what type of reverb style I liked best and go from there. You can hear the differences between Plate and Spring, which do you prefer?

I prefer plate reverb.....so I go with the Talisman? Not a huge fan of spring verb.

I prefer plate to spring. Then again, I prefer variety -- from room modes to ambient w/modulation. I got a Source Audio Dimension Reverb. It does plates and springs more than well enough for my uses, plus a bunch of other fun stuff.

I dont think anyone is noticing that the SUPER spring theory has TWO reverb options. I very realistic Spring and an awesome ambient Hall. It is a really versatile pedal if you want traditional tank or huge cathedral.

I've been in this same exact spot the last few days (comparing via youtube videos) except I'm considering just getting both.

    Word.

But keeping to the OP's interests, I don't know if it's an option on the Talisman or not, but the SST has optional bypass trails too. Always handy. I'd go Subdecay, personally.

If you want something sorta nestled between plate and spring, look at the Mad Professor Silver Spring.

Super Spring Theory is presently in my headlights for replacing my FRV-1, but I don't know how I will avoid getting the Talisman at some point. Hard to justify real estate for 2 verbs, but both seem to be getting rave reviews.

Has anyone compared these to the Wet Reverb mono V4?
