    Hello,

Are you guys still supporting tapatalk? I almost exclusively read forum in tapatalk and now it is not working.

    Cheers,

Try your browser on your phone. TGP is now a mobile responsive platform.

Yeah I just tried it on my Windows phone and it was very nice. Crapatalk and Forum Runner not needed. :)

Glad I checked this, been having the same problem lately. Only thing is, whenever I go here in a browswer on my phone it redirects to Tapatalk and keeps failing :(

If you have TGP automatically linked to Tapatalk, it will continue to try to open the app. You will have to clear the defaults for the program/website.

I don't like any of the forum apps and the experience is much better with TGP mobile version.

Looks like I have no choice. Gotta get used to mobile version then.

The ads are not mobile responsive, unfortunately (at least not the USPS one running at the moment), which means the page is twice as wide as it should be and scrolling is annoying.

Double tap the content and the ads just get halved automatically and the content goes full screen.

Also - we have a new theme coming VERY soon that will be text/icon based. Very mobile friendly. Coming soon.

The footer ads don't scale with the main content, which is what makes scrolling awkward: the phone has to decide if I'm scrolling up and down or left and right. I'd upload a screencap right from my camera roll if I were on Tapatalk. ;)

Not a huge deal, just a usability annoyance. I don't want to be Complainer Guy, but I figure you might like to know of any issues. Looking forward to the forthcoming update. Thanks for responding.

I came here to find out what was up with Tapatalk and wound up happy with the mobile support settings. It gives all of the site's function, and it's as easy as using Tapatalk(when it worked) kudos, and good job to TGP admin and everyone in this thread. You turned a possible complaint into a thanks.

Not sure what the reason was from moving from Tapatalk to the mobile platform was [I'm guessing $$$$$$$$$$$$] but I can say that my interactions have gone from daily to maybe once a month or so. I really enjoyed being able to interact with gear heads on the page on a regular basis and I guess when I have a real need of gear knowledge or have specific questions I will definitely come here for opinions, I just won't get the sense of community that I had previously with my daily interactions.

Just too bad someone has to wreck a good thing over money.

Your guess is wrong. It's got nothing to do with money.

The sense of community is just as strong as ever.

So what's it got to do with? Why not give people a choice?
