Interesting. Is the bank switching only available through that tiny toggle switch though?

Should have done more reading, bank switching is available by holding down the tap footswitch as well

Cool, and don't need or want one, but it just gives me hope that the HOF 2x4 is going to be a reality.

    I wonder if they’ll do a Ditto 2x4.

Came here to post. It’s looking hopeful!

Also bonus points for moving the Buffered Trails and Kill Dry DIPs to the outside. I’m guessing the need for a T10 screwdriver was off-putting for some.

Seems like Uli B hasn't yet appointed a replacement of Tore ;)

I think it looks cool, but the real issue with all their "big" delay pedals is there's (STILL) no on board ability to tweak the delay sound. Like a tone control or something like Empresses "thing 1" & "thing 2" controls. I feel like that is really lacking (compared to other "super" delays in the market today). Even the nemesis, which you can deep dive using the app, has an onboard tone control and mod/rate controls. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Looks awesome. If my Flashback X4 ever kicks the bucket I will upgrade.

And just like the first version, it’s still huge. As a flashback x4 user, that is my biggest issue the size. If mine kicks the bucket, I will likely go with a sa nemesis, had they made the version 2 flashback x4 smaller, than I would have considered it.

I use say though, I do like the other changes compared to the first version, having 6 presets would be handy.

I liked my alter ego x4 a lot, I never minded the size but I did hate that there was no tone or modulation knob on the pedal. The tone print is cool but if all you Want to do is darken/brighten the repeats a tad or adjust the modulation, it is pain to have to edit it in the app and re-beam it to the pedal when all you could do is bend down and turn a knob.

TonePrint pedals allow you to assign different parameters to knobs so it might be possible to assign tone or modulation to one of the knobs. I guess assigning other parameters to time knob would make the most sense as you can just use the tap and subdivisions to set the delay time.

This is good to know... but would it have been too hard just to add an additional (mini) tone knob!? I guess with it's large size you would think you could fit an extra few knobbies on there.

Honestly, my biggest concern is the longevity of the Mash footswitches. Both X4 pedals I’ve owned (Flashback and Triple) experienced failures within 6-8 months’ regular use. Fortunately, they were easily replaced with standard SPST momentary switches.

Yeah I got excited until I see that they added even more toneprint slots. I personally hate the gimmick now. Not into sorting through 54 different tape echo patches from “tc artists” and tweaking algorithms constantly. But that’s just me. I would have liked for tc to use those slots to bring the Echorec, Copikat and DMM settings over from the Alter Ego over since that pedal is for all intents and purposes discontinued.

Are those patches (Echorec, Copikat, DMM) not available through the app? fwiw I've never owned any tc delay

Yes it seems the alter ego has some exclusive patches, the 2290/mod preset unfortunately has way too much modulation. The analog toneprint from Syu is great if you like that sort of tone.

    gimmick? what.

it's just an advanced preset option.
