you know... there should be a pedal maker that incorporates some sort of photo-cell, light-sensing thing that ups the brightness in sunlight and lowers it in dim lighting. like an i-phone.

ALSO... i find it funny that all of the previous posters that said they could see the poly in sunlight are from non-USA countries. i'm sure there's a global warming joke in there somewhere, or a smog pun. or something humorous.

No! I couldn't read anything. Go for Korg Pitchblack.

Exactly the opposite for me. Did a gig last weekend in bright sunlight - couldnt see a thing on my pitchblack. But my band-mates Polytune was visible. Went out Monday and bought a Polytune...

Peterson Stomp Classic - no issues at all in direct sunlight - replaced a Turbo Tuner on my board for an outdoor gig about 8 weeks ago now.

I concur: PB is not readable in bright, direct light.

Polytune is the most readable I know of (compared to Boss, Turbo Tuner (which I love) and Korg). In VERY bright light you'll still have squint a bit but it does as well as any other I've seen.

No issues in sunlight. I believe there is a photo-sensitive cell in the Polytune for light?
