TC Viscous Vibe - wow!

I wanted another small footprint vibe to leave on my church board . I love my Fulltone Mini Dejavibe and my Drybell, but I didn't feel like splashing out more than necessary on a 3rd vibe for my church board. So I tried the Viscous Vibe. Good grief! I'm pretty much an analog fan, so I was really sceptical. But for the price, I thought it was worth a try.

Well, I'm still undoubtedly still in the honeymoon period, but the Viscous Vibe is going on my main board and the Drybell on my church board, instead of vice versa. I can't believe that a digital pedal is giving my other two vibes a run for their money!!

The tone print means I was easily able to download and try out several different vibes before settling on the Vintage Vibe 2. It just sounds exactly the way I want a vibe to sound!

Just in case anyone is using the search function and looking of opinions on the Viscous Vibe, I'd like to report that my enthusiasm has waned as the honeymoon period ended. It's still a decent sound, but its certainly not as organic as my other vibes.

So I am very tempted to try out a more organic sounding pedal to replace my VV. I wish I hadn't sold my old VL Microvibe - in my opinion thats the best of the other vibes I've tried. The Fulltone and the Drybell are still my favourites. The Mini Dejavibe is too big to fit on my church board an the Drybell is on my main board. Pretty stupid to be looking for a replacement third vibe pedal!!

I had a Viscous Vibe and thought it sounded outstanding! As good or better than the several analog, photo cell- Vibes I've owned (EQD The Depths, Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe) It played well with high gain which was a pleasant surprise and didn't have any weird digital artifacts. Shoot I'm gonna have to pick up another one now.
