So I got my Tchula today! I had the idea for this pedal I guess around 2 and a half years ago LOL! There is no secret how I feel about all Sean's pedals, but this is the best one for me yet. Its unreal. For me its the ultimate fly date/grab-n-go pedal. I use a COT tons, and this gives me my favorite normal tone on the stock side. Its preset. So when you have the pedal on the first switch its like a COT preset to just below half or around 11:00. Thats the tone I use more than any other pedal.

Then there is a second side that has a control knob. This knob all the way off(on 0) is like a COT starting at 12 oclock or half way up. Therefore this side has a little more gain then a standard COT when dimed. Its also a little smoother than a normal COT dimed. Basically you can use it as a simple boost for the main channel or as a full on second channel all the way up to that psuedo fuzz lead tone and anything in between. It really is unreal! I also think it might even clean up better than my normal COT's if thats possible. I had been waiting for this pedal a long time and Sean delivered big time!! Thanx Dude:dude

I'll do some clips tommorow or this weekend. CLIP ADDED BELOW

    very cool, Josh

I saw the old Tchula page, and it was both mysterious and intriguing ...

Sean's done some interesting one-offs, and it would be nice to see some of those on his site, just to see how something goes from idea to realization

on a side note, I love the new CD ... love the Old School Soul vibe, and your singing surprised me!

What is the volume boost like on each side; a lot, a little?

Sounds like a winner. 11 is my favorite COT spot on my red burst.

Its like a standard COT, The preset side is a good boost, the second side is of course variable but even dimed its not a huge volume difference over the preset. Its hard to describe if you've never played a COT before, but while their is a definite boost in volume its more about the tonal shift. I can't stop noodling with this thing tonight!

    Sounds cool Josh!

Waiting for clips. Can you play with your clean tone first so we can hear how the pedal changes things when you engage it? :D

Here is a quick clip. Chapin T-bird, Tchula, Fargen 40w Blackbird, 2x12 Emi Wizards, Cascade Fathead Mic, RNP Mic-pre, Pro Tools. No EQ or anyhing. Completely untouched. Starts off just the amp, then the preset, then the boost with the knob all the way down, then it just works its way up to Dimed at the end when I'm playing in E. You can hear me stop the switches and adjust the gain. Not bad for an off the cuff first take 30 second set up clip!! I love this thing!!

It`s the feel he plays with, that is what I love most. I think you could make an old Teisco electric into a Pignose sound great! I really like how you have blended your blues w country picking technique, truly GREAT!
