Tech 21 vs EHX .44 magnum for wet/dry rig

Hey guys,
I am using a .44 magnum power amp currently for the wet side of a wet dry rig with a 1x12 cab. It works fine but I am looking to simplify it for gig load in so I was looking at the Tech 21 Power engine. (Power amp and cab all in one). I have also moved to a line level wet signal which the .44 doesn't do as well. Has anyone owned both and can compare the sound quality?

how about a random peavey bandit out of the classifieds?

loud, sturdy and light, find an old one with an effects loop and you can go right into the power amp section.
