I love my Supercomp, use it a lot. The on/off switch has broken, stuck on the On position.
I had a look inside, replacement looks like it would be tricky.
Has anyone done this job?
Any tips on how NOT to break the PCB?

Not tricky at all....

Any step-by-step recommendations?
My tech buddy will be doing the job, he has some reservations, not wanting to break anything.

I can't afford to replace the pedal at this stage, might have to just leave it on full-time and adjust comp dial to suit the songs.

Not really. If your "tech" buddy has reservations, then maybe he's not the man for the job.

Its a board-mounted DPDT or 3PDT, correct? A decent iron and solder sucker should make it a pretty simple job. I would definitely use a solder sucker as opposed to a braid for this, otherwise you may apply too much heat and risk damaging something. But, yeah... if your "tech" buddy has reservations, then you should probably look for someone else.
