"Technical" 5f1 Champ question

I recently purchased a Marsh 5f1 champ for a good price, that sounded/sounds good. However I noticed a slight static noise for a brief 10 seconds when I turn it on, its also intermittent after it warming up every 20 minutes or so another 10 seconds of static. Last weekend a rectifier tube went on me. I replaced the 5y3 but I still have the intermittent static.
Are the 2 issues possibly related?

Maybe a cold solder joint somewhere. Poke the grounds with a wooden chop stick if you are comfortable inside an amp. If not, then don't do that.

Maybe interference. Got a cell phone on ya? Flourescent lights? Dimmers? Computer monitor? Turn off everything you can, and put that cell phone somewhere else. See if that changes anything.

There was a bare wire coming from the resistor attached to the indicator light that was touching the chassis that made a scratchy sound when I touched it with the chopstick. This hopefully is/was the problem. I moved it off the chassis and it appears to have solved the problem.
