So my bridge pickup intermittently cuts out. I've re-soldered the connection to the pot and the switch a few times so I don't think it's that.
At this point I'm thinking there's three possible culprits:
    1)The pickup
2)A short in the pickup leads
    3)The switch has gone bad
Is there any way to diagnose this without wontonly replacing stuff?

Of the three, the switch is the most suspect. Start by bypassing / replacing that first.

I had the same issue. Though it revealed itself at the neck pickup. It was the switch. It's only like 10 dollar try...

Traded out the switch with a 3-way that came with one of my Fenders. Think that might have been it but we'll see...

Ok so it wasn't the switch...unless of course I got another bad switch that doesn't work on the bridge....
What are we thinkin here, guys? Should I swap the pickup next?

Check the leads on the pickup before swapping it out, could be a bad joint.

Think it's the pickup....the winding looked damaged once I got the bridge assembly apart (the g&l setup is great for intonation but **** when you wanna get at the pickup underneath.)
