Curious to find out out how many Sabres can be accounted for here on TGP. I have #13, I did own #8 and know where it is currently.
If you got one, sign up today! As far as I know only 24 or 25 were ever built.

    #13 HOME AGAIN

I've lost track of where its at now although I passed on buying it back because Randall was allegedly wrapping up the MKII version and I threw my hat in on #0001 of that run (are you listening Randall ???? ;) :D) ...

    steve39stripes has one...

My beloved Aiken Intruder gets played daily. :dude

I had #20...it was originally red, but Randall swapped me his green head case for my red one....sold it before coming back East.....BIG mistake...It went to a TGP member, but I can't remember who....Randall is working on a Sabre II....

    hi all,
what do things amps sound like....what do the do....excell at ??
I've been wanting to hear his amps for awhile now.
Really dig the vibe i get from his website.
A well thought out amp designer is what i get from it.

not to derail but pics and thoughts on your Aiken amps ??
That Sabre looks like a serious tone machine.

Did you listen to the clips/videos on the artist page of Randall's site?

The Overdrive channel is a big, sweet British sounding amp with refinements and flexibility. It goes from JMP50 into JCM800 territory in terms of overdrive. The Clean channel is kinda in the Fender Twin camp with a little Super thrown in. Great master volume. The FX loops are great as well.

It's an inspiring gig machine and has performed flawlessly for me over the last 3 years at hundreds of gigs.

This is one amp that has really haunted me as a fan of Marshall based sounds with an expanded feature set. I heard the original NAMM proto that got stolen years ago, which was REALLY great sounding. I've never seen another in person. I think when Randall gets the hundred watters going, it might be real difficult to resist. Look at the gut shot, amazing attention to detail, and the sound is ominous!

The world of amp builders is chock full of great people and interesting characters. Randall is a Prince among them, such a gentleman, so generous and knowlegable to boot. I'm a fan!
    :dude:knitting:dude go Randall!

The Sabre II has been mentioned for a really long time. .Anyone have the inside scoop , like whether or not it's coming out and when ? I've never owned any Aiken but I think they're among the nicest looking amps ever.. I'd really like to give one a shot someday , and the Sabre has the best feature set for me I think

Is Randall even making amps anymore, last I saw he was working at a real job doing something cool with guidance systems or other secret stuff.

I bough it from Steve, wish I was more patient with it as it sounded just awesome but was not digging the feel. Should have worked the chops more.

I bought that cable to run a G-Major through the loop :BEER

BTW......I have the matching 4x12 loaded with greenbacks still :BEER

This is one of those amps that I'd love to try out. Came close to getting one last summer but just couldn't swing the coin.

I also remember hearing our own Dana O. put 0001 through her paces at NAMM back in the day. SWEET!
I finally owned one for awhile, and dug it.
But, I was/am on the gear merry-go-round, so down the road she went. :(

I still have a pair of immaculate Mojotone Greenback 12's if anyone wants them at a steal! ;)
