    Hi,

Have been feeling sort of repetitive lately and felt a bit low on the creative front. Then Scott L posted his first clip of the yet to be released Fuchs HRM amp. That really got me going and I went through all my stuff trying to get a sound that reminded me of what Scott had going. I'm not saying I even got close either in playing or in sound but then I neither got a Fuchs HRM nor was I wearing a bathrobe. Really must get those two essential items. :D

So Scott, big thanks for the inspiration and encouragement through the years. I wouldn't be where I am musically today if it weren't for you.

Thanks also to Althrax who supplied the BT.

    Some nice, creative playing.

Definitely an advancement on your already good tone!

So how did you cook it up?

    Scott,

When even coming close to this style it's near impossible to not think of you.

The BT is called Fagen Funk and was posted by Althrax in this thread:

    Hi ALthrax,

Glad you like my backing tracks.
You do post a lot of them. Do you produce them at home yourself or do you use a studio with live musicians?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

I used my Edwards SA-118 335 clone into my Boss GS-10 and direct to sound card. The amp model was Warm Clean with full gain and then I used the Natural OD effect in the GS-10 to goose the model quite a bit. A bit of post eq to boost the lower mids and tame the highs.

Delay and reverb was added in the mix.

    Cheers,

    Mats N
