Hey, I just wanted to say thanks to Southbay Ampworks for the tutorial on applying Tolex and grill cloth on an amp - I would have posted this there, but since the last comment on that thread was 8 months ago, I thought it might get a little more recognition here...

Anyway, the tutorial really helped us get this amp ready for the NAMM show, and I just wanted to say thanks for the detailed directions and pictures!!

Cool looking amp. What flavor is it, tubes, construction type, speaker, transformers?
Clips? Gutshots? What kind of experience does the builder have?
What kind of price? Other models?

One of the best things about this forum is the wealth of information available and the people who generously give their time to share it with us. Jim from Southbay Amps is always so helpful that way. :)

If looks could kill, I'd be a dead man from looking at that pic.

Looks like you have the "Tolex thing" down. Great looking amp, hope you can tell us more about it soon. Red is just so cool looking, and your work looks top notch for a first try at covering a cab. Congrats!

Actually my wife did the Tolex and grill cloth. I do the rest (including solid pine box-jointed cabinets). Thanks for the compliment!
