From the opening of the movie "Christene". I love the guitar sounds on this song.

So I guess he uses a Gibson ES-125 with 2 p90s? It looks like some come with just one pickup.

Also curious what amp he uses?

The P90s and Hollow Body guitar are certainly the main ingredients, IMHO. A cranked Fender amp is next.

I could have sworn I remember reading he used bassmans but I have no idea where I would have read it.

I'm guessing that you do know this is tuned to Open G. To me, any guitar tuned to OG sounds like that.

A few years back I was in a conversation with an Essex lad who was into Thorogood in a big way. Where to find people when you need them, eh? I do remember Thorogood supposedly being a user EVM 12Ls though.

    A jazzbox with p90s + a really loud fender-ish amp.

And ES 125 or 330 will get you there, as long as it has a bridge pickup.

A quick Internet search claimed George Thorogood uses Fender Dual Showman amps and the occasional Fuzz Face pedal (maybe he backs off the guitar volume?).
